Public Speaking, Presentations & Interview Coaching

It’s one thing to possess great knowledge. It’s quite another to impart that knowledge to your audience successfully. The latter is a special talent, all by itself.

Jan always encourages her students to watch the KTLA Channel 5 news team to hear perfect enunciation and to help them pace themselves when speaking, and she trains her students in these skills:

  • Enunciation. As you learn to enunciate correctly and give proper emphasis to the correct syllables, your audience will focus on your message, not your delivery.
  • Pacing & Rhythm. Speaking slowly and clearly so that your audience can absorb your message is key to being a dynamic speaker. Jan will teach you many ways to deliver your message powerfully and effectively.

Interviewing

You may be called upon to interview people in high level positions or in the public eye in the course of your work—for instance, one of Jan's students needed help preparing to interview the president of ABC.

Jan will teach you specialized techniques for creating a comfortable environment and putting the person you interview at ease so that they will speak openly with you.

You will learn how to make the interview enjoyable for the person you are interviewing, as well as informative to your audience.

Jan is great. I had a very important meeting and needed help with fixing my speech. Jan helped me to correct my grammar and helped with rewriting sentences to ease the message. She is patient, nice, and educated. I highly
recommend her for anyone who wants to give a presentation at work and English is their second language. —Roxy, Burbank
